Draft order based on my power rankings, which are posted below the mock draft.

Pick Team Player 2024 Stats Commentary
1 15988562013

Jacksonville Jaguars

OT WIll Campbell, LSU – 6’6, 320 lbs N/A Trevor Lawrence has been horrible so far this season, but the Jaguars have to make it work, since they invested a monster contract in him. He has been sacked quite a bit thanks to a porous offensive line. Cam Robinson is an upcoming free agent, and an upgrade is desperately needed. Will Campbell is my favorite tackle prospect since Penei Sewell. He helped Jayden Daniels win a Heisman in 2023 and is pro ready. Other than quarterbacks, offensive and defensive lineman are the other positions that often are drafted first overall.
2

Carolina Panthers

QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado – 6’2, 215 lbs 138-197, 1630 yards, 14 TD, 3 INT It is sad to say, but Bryce Young is a sunk cost. The Panthers have accepted this, and should move on during the 2025 draft. It is still too early to determine who the top quarterback will be once the draft rolls around. Shedeur Sanders, Quinn Ewers, Cam Ward, Carson Beck, Jalen Milroe, Drew Allar and Jaxson Dart are all first round candidates. If you ask me this very moment, I would have Sanders at the top. He has shown grit, determination, talent and perseverance so far this year. Everyone loves to hate the guy because of who his father is, but he is very talented and a true gamer.

Miami Dolphins

CB Will Johnson, Michigan – 6’2, 202 lbs 11 tackles, 2 INT Lazy analysts want to call Tua Tagovailoa a system quarterback, but it is clear that Tua IS the system. This offense is completely lost without him. If Tagovailoa can not bounce back from his latest concussion issues, Miami will have to consider a quarterback here. It is too early to resort to that, however. Will Johnson is my top rated player in this class. He has everything you look for in a playmaking, shut down cornerback. He has a nose for the ball, is very athletic and has great size. Kendall Fuller is a short term option, and Johnson would be an upgrade regardless.
4 919

New York Giants

QB Cam Ward, Miami – 6’2, 223 lbs 113-161, 1782 yards, 18 TD, 4 INT Even Daniel Jones “best” has not been nearly good enough. The Giants have to come out of this draft with a quarterback. Fortuntely, this is an extremely deep class. Cam Ward has gone from Incarnate Word to Washington State to Miami, and perhaps a Heisman Trophy will be his final stop before he is off to the NFL. We may see three senior quarterbacks taken at the top of this draft. Jayden Daniels has been an immediate success for Washington, and other losing squads may want to follow suit, opting for experience over potential.
5 1053

Tennessee Titans

QB Quinn Ewers, Texas – 6’2, 210 lbs 58-79, 691 yards, 8 TD, 2 INT No quarterback has more turnovers than Will Levis this year. There was a reason he was not a first round pick. The Titans have signed quite a bit of skill position talent, but they need a legitimate quarterback to go with it. Quinn Ewers is going through a bit of injury issues, and his backup, Arch Manning, is the talk of college football, but I think Ewers will come back soon and reclaim his starting spot before he heads off to the NFL. I really like him as a prospect. He is fiery, athletic, and a natural leader. Something the Titans desperately need.

New England Patriots

WR/CB Travis Hunter, Colorado – 6’1, 185 lbs 46 receptions, 561 yards, 6 TD The Patriots drafted a new quarterback, which is good, but the skill positions and offensive lines are woefully under-talented. Travis Hunter is one of the most talented college football players we have ever seen. He could be a terror out of the slot on offense and shut down one half of the field on defense. Can he realistically play both sides of the ball at the NFL level? I would not put it past him. No matter where he settles in, he would be the most talented player on a woefully unathletic New England roster.
7 594183342020

Los Angeles Rams

OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas – 6’4, 320 lbs N/A Despite a terrible start, the Rams still believe they have a win now roster and may not want to try to break in a rookie quarterback in 2025. Offensive line is another huge need. Kelvin Banks Jr. is not quite Will Campbell, but is holding down the left side for one of the best pro style offenses in the NFL. He should be able to step in and provide protection rather quickly.
8

Cleveland Browns

QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama – 6’2, 225 lbs 62-85, 964 yards, 10 TD, 1 INT In an ideal world the Browns would pull a Denver Broncos move by admitting a mistake and ridding themselves of Deshaun Watson. The fully guaranteed contract would be a killer on the salary cap, but Cleveland might not have any choice. Watson is that bad, and the constant off the field distractions are not worth it. Jalen Milroe got the better of Carson Beck during Saturday’s instant classic Alabama vs. Georgia contest. He has good size, takes care of the ball and is a threat to run.
9 kwth8f1cfa2sch5xhjjfaof90

Arizona Cardinals

DT Mason Graham, Michigan – 6’3, 320 lbs 19 tackles, 3 sacks The Cardinals offense looks playoff worthy. The defense, however, needs talent upgrades pretty much everywhere. The 3-4 defense, in particular, lacks play makers. Mason Graham could provide rare pass rushing ability from the interior of the defensive line. He already has three sacks on the season, an impressive number for a man his size.
10 670885212020

Las Vegas Raiders

CB Benjamin Morrison, Notre Dame – 6’0, 190 lbs 16 tackles The Raiders are another team that desperately needs a quarterback, but I am not sure Carson Beck is what Las Vegas is looking for. Benjamin Morrison does not have the name recognition of Will Johnson or Travis Hunter, but is very talented in his own right. He is a top notch athlete and playmaker, with 8 career interceptions to his name. The Las Vegas secondary is quite weak.
11 593

Indianapolis Colts

WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona – 6’5, 212 lbs 29 receptions, 503 yards, 4 TD Anthony Richradson is what he was at Florida. A physical specimen with a cannon of an arm and unfair running ability, but someone who lacks decision making skills and accuracy. A big, strong target like Tetairoa McMillan could help. Receiver is not the biggest need for the Colts, but the way the board has fallen, McMillan is the best player available.
12 299

Atlanta Falcons

EDGE Mykel Williams, Georgia – 6’5, 265 lbs 2 tackles The Falcons traded for Matt Judon, but its pass rushing is still amongst the worst in the NFL. Mykel Williams has been out of the Georgia lineup since suffering an injury during the first game of the season. I think he could shoot back up into the top five once the pre-draft process rolls around. He offers a rare ability of size, quickness and pass rushing ability.
13 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp

Denver Broncos

WR Luther Burden III, Missouri – 5’11, 208 lbs 19 receptions, 257 yards, 4 TD To put it frankly, the Denver passing game has been an embarrassment. Bo Nix does not look like a long term starter, but Denver will want to give him an opportunity to succeed, and to do that, they will need to add talent at the skill positions, especially wide receiver. The Missouri offense has sputtered a bit out of the gate, but Luther Burden III is doing what needs to be done. He is a very talented and strong receiver with solid route running ability, and would be a nice first option for Nix and the Broncos.
14 15420492021

Cincinnati Bengals

DT Deone Walker, Kentucky – 6’6, 345 lbs 15 tackles, 0.5 sacks Kris Jenkins may be a future starter at defensive tackle, but even so, Cincinnati needs more beef up front. How would a 6’6, 345 tackle sound? Deone Walker is more than just a run stopper, as he is a tremendous athlete for his size who can also get after the quarterback on occasion.
15 364

Chicago Bears

RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State – 5’9, 215 lbs 82 carries, 845 yards, 13 TD Yes, those stats to the left are correct. Through four games, Ashton Jeanty is putting up numbers that would generate All Conference consideration over an entire season. He is averaging an absurd 10.3 yards per carry. The Bears offense is in the bottom five of the NFL in rushing, with a pathetic 3.5 yards per rush. Jeanty also hauled in 43 receptions as a sophomore, showing true three down ability.
16 406

Dallas Cowboys

DT Walter Nolen, Ole Miss – 6’3, 305 lbs 19 tackles, 0.5 sacks The Cowboys have given up 145 yards per game on the ground, a troubling sign for any defense. Walter Nolen is still developing and has a ways to go to live up to his former number one overall recruit status, but his talent is undeniable. He is one of those players who could be a better pro than college football player.
17 pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv

Seattle Seahawks

QB Carson Beck, Georgia – 6’4, 220 lbs 83-132, 1119 yards, 10 TD, 3 INT Geno Smith has had a very impressive late career resurgance, but he is 33 years old and has thrown as many picks as touchdowns this season. The Seahawks have invested too much in its skill positions to not aim higher. Carson Beck has struggled the past two games when asked to make plays, including throwing three picks against Alabama. He will have to show he can do more than just manage a game if he does not want to fall behind several other signal callers in this class.
18 960

Philadelphia Eagles

EDGE James Pearce Jr., Tennessee – 6’5, 243 lbs 3 tackles, 0.5 sacks Has anyone seen James Pearce Jr.? He exploded on the scene with 9.5 sacks as a sophomore, but only has 3 tackles and a half sack to his name in 2025. He is a talented, twitchy pass rusher who should be producing more than he has. This is a steal this late in the first round for the Eagles, who have desperately missed Haason Reddick so far this season.
19 644616602020

Los Angeles Chargers

EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State 19 tackles, 3 sacks Joey Bosa is one of the more feared pass rushers in the league, but he has only played in 17 games the past two plus seasons. Couple that with the fact that Khalil Mack is an upcoming free agent, and pass rush could quickly be a priority for the Chargers. Abdul Carter has good size, is solid against the run and is developing some pass rush moves. I think he is a better prospect than Chop Robinson, who went around this spot in 2024.
20 15291162019

New York Jets

QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss – 6’2, 225 lbs 113-146, 1815 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT Could we really see six quarterbacks in the first round? We saw five in 2024, and I believe guys like Jaxson Dart are better than JJ McCarthy and Bo Nix. Aaron Rodgers is not going to play forever, and this would be a good time for New York to draft a developmental guy. Dart is having a tremendous season, completing over 77% of his passes as a senior throwing in a pro style offense.
21

Houston Texans

OT Jonah Savaiinaea, Arizona – 6’5, 336 lbs N/A It has not always been pretty, but Houston is sitting at 3-1 on the season, and looks like the clear class of the NFC South. The offensive line has been a bit of a trouble area. Kendrick Green was a big time whiff as a former first round pick. Jonah Savaiinaea plays tacklefor Arizona, but I believe is a future Pro Bowler inside at guard. He is a mauler, and will help open up holes for Joe Mixon as he winds down what has been a very solid career.
22 17994552009

San Francisco 49ers

OT Emery Jones Jr., LSU – 6’6, 315 lbs N/A The 49ers have been the most consistent team in the NFC the past few years, but the roster is aging in a hurry and holes are opening up everywhere. Trent Williams could play into his 40’s, but Colton McKivitz is not a great option on the right side. Emery Jones Jr. handles that side of the offensive line for LSU, and while he is not quite Will Campbell, he is a first round talent in his own right.
23

Green Bay Packers

CB Denzel Burke, Ohio State – 6’1, 193 lbs 13 tackles, 2 INT The Packers may have the deepest roster in the NFL. It is tough to find obvious needs, but the front office often drafts defense, so I will go that direction. Denzel Burke has developed into a legitimate first round prospect. He is a solid tackler and has two interceptions on the season. He could take over for Eric Stokes following the 2025 season.
24 907

New Orleans Saints

DE Nic Scourton, Texas A&M – 6’4, 285 lbs 14 tackles,, 3 sacks Cameron Jordan is nearing the end of what may be a hall of fame career. Payton Turner has not developed like the Saints have hoped, and Nic Scourton would represent an upgrade. He has great size with the quickness of a solid defender. Scourton has 15 career sacks and could shoot up the draft boards if he continues his trajectory.
25 970

Pittsburgh Steelers

WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State – 6’1, 205 lbs 21 rec, 362 yards, 2 TD Pittsburgh will always be too good to draft a top quarterback, so surrounding whoever that may be with skill position talent is important. George Pickens is a stud, but the rest of the group leaves plenty to be desired. Emeka Egbuka may never replacate his 2022 season, but he is off to a very good start in 2024, with three straight games of over 95 yards receiving. He should be an upper-echelon WR2 in this offense.
26 17683632020

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

EDGE Patrick Payton, Florida State – 6’5, 250 lbs 14 tackles, 4 sacks The Florida State season has been an absolute disaster, but Patrick Payton has been a rare bright spot. He is still developing his overall game, but showed what he is capable of with a 3 sack performance against California. The Buccaneers have struggled to generate a consistent pass rush the past few seasons. Payton may be a situational guy, but he can get after the quarterback.
27 683260482022

Washington Commanders

DE JT Tuimoloau, Ohio State – 6’5, 269 lbs 10 tackles 2.5 sacks What a difference a dynamic quarterback makes. Jayden Daniels looks like the real deal, and the Commanders seem to be ahead of schedule. The defense lacks pass rushing talent, however, with both Chase Young and Montez Sweat moving on in 2023. JT Tuimoloau never quite developed as a pass rushing terror, but is a very solid all around end who can play all three downs without being much of a liability.
28 318

Baltimore Ravens

EDGE Princely Umanmielen, Ole Miss – 6’4, 255 lbs 13 tackles, 3.5 sacks The Ravens defense is always at its best when they have multiple pass rushers to rely on. Princely Umanmielen has 18.5 sacks during an impressive five year career, and is quick and agile enough to chase down ball carries from a 3-4 outside linebacker spot.
29 17013982017

Detroit Lions

DE Jack Sawyer, Ohio State, 6’5, 260 lbs 14 tackles, 1 sack How good would Aidan Hutchinson be if he had another pass rusher to take some of the pressure off of him? Like his teammate JT Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer has not been a double digit sack artist at Ohio State, but is talented, athletic and a solid all around defender. Sawyer does have 16 career sacks.
30 n0fd1z6xmhigb0eej3323ebwq

Buffalo Bills

WR Isaiah Bond, Texas – 5’11, 180 lbs 20 receptions, 364 yards, 3 TD Mack Hollins, Khalil Shakur and Marquez Valdez-Scantling have done a decent job, but big play threat Isaiah Bond would be a long term upgrade. He is averaging almost 20 yards per reception this year and could be a nice deep threat option opposite Keon Coleman for Buffalo.
31 857

Kansas City Chiefs

TE Colston Loveland, Michigan – 6’5, 245 lbs 23 rec, 227 yards, 1 TD The Chiefs defense has carried what has been a very leaky offense so far this season. Travis Kelce could fall off at any moment, and a replacement could be needed. Colston Loveland is the class of a pretty weak tight end group. He has good size and averaged 14 yards per reception before this season, when Michigan actually had competent quarterback play.
32 17227042013

Minnesota Vikings

SS Malaki Starks, Georgia – 6’1, 205 lbs 19 tackles, 1 INT The Vikings are unquestionably the top team in the NFL right now. They are solid on both sides of the ball and very well coached. Malaki Starks would not fix the cornerback woes, but would be a nice long term replacement for franchise icon Harrison Smith at the back end of the secondary.
