Pick Team Player 2025 Stats Commentary
1 907

New Orleans Saints

QB Garrett Nussmeier, LSU – 6’1, 205 lbs 54-79, 469 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT Spencer Rattler, a mid round selection a year or two ago, beat out an almost 26 year old rookie for the “right” to be the starting quarterback for what could be the leagues worst team. A serious long term option is needed. I have Garrett Nussmeier and Cade Klubnik neck and neck when it comes to the top quarterback in this class. Neither set the world on fire, but Nussmeier had a good game against one of the nations best defenses Week 1. Couple that with the fact that he is experienced, well coached and his father is the current offensive coordinator for the Saints, and he gets the nod here.
2

Carolina Panthers

DT Peter Woods, Clemson – 6’3, 215 lbs 8 tackles The Panthers have spent most of its recent first round picks to rebuild the offense. The downside is that the defense has holes all over the place. Caleb Downs may be the best prospect available here, but I have trouble mocking a safety this high. Especially with a talent like Peter Woods available. With Derrick Brown and Tershawn Wharton under contract, defensive line may not be the biggest need in Carolina, but Woods is a supreme talent that will elevate the entire defense. He offers rare three down potential as both a pass rusher and run defender.
3 15073062018

Miami Dolphins

EDGE Rueben Bain Jr., Miami – 6’3, 275 lbs 9 tackles, 1.5 sacks I have been a Dolphins fan for almost 40 years, and it is not hyperbole to say that the current cornerback group may be the worst set of position players Miami has ever had. Even I struggle to name all of the players on the roster. This would be an ideal spot to trade back and draft a cornerback or two, None are worth taking this high, however, so they pivot to pass rush. Jaelan Phillips is an upcoming free agent and Bradley Chubb is a prime cut candidate. Miami needs a culture, identity, and talent reset. Moving forward with a EDGE duo of Bain Jr. and Chop Robinson would be a nice start.
4 1053

Tennessee Titans

EDGE T.J. Parker, Clemson – 6’3, 265 lbs 7 tackles, 1 sack The Titans moved on from Harold Landry in the off-season, and have one of the least inspiring pass rushing unites in the league. Fortunately, this draft is full of talented EDGE rushers. T.J. Parker may not be the physical specimen that Rueben Bain Jr. is, but he is strong, a hard worker, and is coming off of a dominant 11 sack sophomore campaign in 2024.
5 919

New York Giants

OT Francis Mauigoa, Miami – 6’6, 315 lbs N/A Andrew Thomas is the one constant for a struggling Giants offensive line. New York quickly accepted the Evan Neal mistake and are on the lookout for a new starting right tackle. This has the potential to be a very deep offensive line class, led by Kadyn Proctor and Francis Mauigoa. Mauigoa is a natural right tackle who did not allow a sack from that side of the line for Miami in 2024.
6

Cleveland Browns

QB LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina – 6’3, 240 lbs 23-38, 337 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT Shedeur Sanders may one day become a starting quarterback in the NFL, but his fifth round pedigree does not guarantee success, and should not stop Cleveland from aiming higher. The track record for redshirt sophomore quarterbacks in the NFL is not great, but I am a LaNorris Sellers fan. Though he is still learning the finer points of throwing the football, he is not just an Anthony Richardson-like athlete playing the quarterback position. He has linebacker size, is strong and quick, and has solid two way potential as both a runner and passer.
7 594183342020

Los Angeles Rams

QB Cade Klubnik, Clemson – 6’2, 210 lbs 37-62, 426 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT From ATL
Matthew Stafford is year to year at this point, and the Rams could wind up in a position to draft his replacement with the Atlanta Falcons pick. It has not been a good start for Cade Klubnik and the Clemson offense, but I am not going to overreact and take him off the board this quickly. His junior tape remains extremely impressive. He showed a solid enough arm, poise and leadership qualities that teams look for in a starting quarterback. I have said that he is a prime candidate to fall to the middle rounds if he regresses, but it is too early to push the panic button yet.
8 y71myf8mlwlk8lbgagh3fd5e0

New England Patriots

WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State – 6’2, 200 lbs 18 rec, 209 yards, 3 TD Now that is what you want to see from a first round prospect in his first game of the season. Granted it was against Northern Arizona, but Jordyn Tyson embarrassed any poor sucker that attempted to cover him. He also showed that he can get the tough yards in a 6 catch performance against Mississippi State. He is strong and a great route runner. If Tyson can clean up the drops that plagued him in 2024, he could shoot for a top ten pick. The Patriots signed Stefon Diggs to hold down the fort in 2025, but it would be smart to give Drake Maye a long term weapon or two.
9 593

Indianapolis Colts

CB Jermod McCoy, Tennessee – 6’0, 193 lbs N/A Quarterback will always be a option for the Colts, but with my top three off the board, I do not see anybody worth taking over an elite talent at another position. The Colts have been getting by with mediocre talent on defense for the past several seasons. Jermod McCoy is the top cornerback in this class, though he will need to show scouts that he is past his injury once cleared to play. He is athletic and a real playmaker, with six career interceptions.
10 15291162019

New York Jets

S Caleb Downs, Ohio State – 6’0, 205 lbs 7 tackles, 1 INT Caleb Downs may be the best prospect in this class, but it takes a lot for a safety to go in the top ten. The last time that happened was Jamal Adams in 2017. Not even Kyle Hamilton, an elite prospect, was taken that high. The Jets have a decent enough defense, but the potential that Downs brings, both as a cover guy and a tackler, may prove to be too much to pass on here.
11

Cleveland Browns

OT Kadyn Proctor, Alabama – 6’7, 360 lbs N/A From JAX
The Browns need perhaps two long term offensive lineman, and with two first round picks, are in good position to fill those needs. Kadyn Proctor has all of the physical tools you look for to be a franchise left tackle, but has struggled with technique and consistency. Like the rest of the Crimson Tide offense, he was a bit overwhelmed against Florida State, but there is plenty of time to put that behind him and get back on track.
12 364

Chicago Bears

EDGE Keldric Faulk, Auburn – 6’6, 270 lbs 5 tackles, 1 sack The Bears are putting together a solid roster from top to bottom. It is on Caleb Williams to take that next step. Dayo Odeyingbo is a solid edge rusher, but Chicago may look to aim a bit higher with someone like Keldric Faulk. Faulk has the requisite size/speed combo to excel in a variety of defensive fronts.
13 670885212020

Las Vegas Raiders

MLB Anthony Hill Jr., Texas – 6’3, 238 lbs 12 tackles, 2 FF Similar to Caleb Downs and the safety position, off the ball linebackers are not often taken high come NFL Draft time. But, like Downs, Anthony Hill Jr. is a special case. He is a pass rusher, tackler and solid in pass coverage. He would be an asset in any scheme. The Raiders have a solid foundation in place, but still lack the tough personnel to mirror head coach Pete Carroll.
14 pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv

Seattle Seahawks

OT Spencer Fano, Utah – 6’6, 302 lbs 6 tqckles The Seahawks have spent first round picks on offensive lineman twice since 2022, but more help is needed. Spencer Fano has serious top ten potential. He is athletic and excels as a run blocker. He would be an upgrade over Abraham Lucas at right tackle, or could kick inside and make Pro Bowls at guard.
15 kwth8f1cfa2sch5xhjjfaof90

Arizona Cardinals

EDGE Matayo Uiagalelei, Oregon – 6’5, 272 lbs 3 tackles, 2 sacks Scouts keep on saying Matayo Uiagalelei will not be a first round pick because he is a bit one dimensional, but I do not buy he. He has 10 sacks as a sophomore, and racked up two more during Oregon’s opening game in 2025. Sure, he needs to improve as a run defender, but that type of pass rush ability is always in high demand. I cannot see him falling out of the top twenty picks or so. He would make a nice pass rushing compliment to Josh Sweat in Arizona.
16 406

Dallas Cowboys

EDGE Dani Dennis-Sutton, Penn State – 6’5, 265 lbs 9 tackles, 1 sack, 2 FF Hey there, have you heard that the Dallas Cowboys traded Micah Parsons? That puts EDGE rusher right at the top of the needs list. Parsons, Chop Robinson, Abdul Carter, and now perhaps Dani Dennis-Sutton; no team produces pass rushers quite like the Penn State Nittany Lions. Dennis-Sutton is coming off of an 8.5 sack junior season, and already has one sack and two forced fumbles as a senior. Pass rush is always in high demand come draft time. I could see up to ten EDGE rushers go in the first round.
17 594183342020

Los Angeles Rams

CB Avieon Terrell, Clemson – 5’11, 180 lbs 9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FF For a team that has had one first round draft pick since 2016, the Rams have a surprisingly solid roster from top to bottom. How will they possibly handle multiple first round picks? Avieon Terrell may not have the size of his All Pro brother, AJ, but he is similar athletically. He is tough and hard nosed, and plays bigger than his size. A solid tackler and good in man coverage, he has CB1 potential.
18 15420492021

Cincinnati Bengals

CB Mansoor Delane, LSU – 6’1, 187 lbs 4 tackles, 1 INT Cincinnati had limited draft capital, and chose to fortify both lines with the few picks they did have. Secondary remains a serious problem area. Mansoor Deland picked up four passes as a junior at Virginia Tech, and will spend his final season at the cornerback factory at LSU, where he will push to become a first round pick in 2026.
19

Houston Texans

RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame – 6’0, 214 lbs 10 rushes, 33 yards Joe Mixon’s career is in jeopardy, and Nick Chubb will almost assuredly not finish out the season as a starting running back. Jeremiyah Love may not quite be in the Ashton Jeanty level of offensive superstars, but he is a legitimate first round pick. Strong, compact and a solid pass catcher, he is a true three down running back and can be an offensive focal point for Houston.
20 970

Pittsburgh Steelers

QB Drew Allar, Penn State – 6’5, 238 lbs 41-59, 417 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT The Steelers continue to seek a long term option at quarterback. For a team that is always too good to draft in the top ten, they may have to take a swing, even after missing on Kenny Pickett. Drew Allar has the ability to be the first quarterback selected in 2026. He was in complete control of Penn State’s offense against cupcakes Nevada and Florida International. Of course, the knock against him is how he has faced against top competition in years past. His first real test will come against Oregon in late September.
21

San Francisco 49ers

S Dillon Thieneman, Oregon – 6;0, 205 lbs 6 tackles The 49ers championship window may not be completely shut, but this roster got old in a hurry, and the team needs to hit on defensive draft picks to make up for free agent departures and a lack of depth. Dillon Thieneman put together one of the most impressive freshman seasons in recent memory, racking up 106 tackles and picking off 6 passes as a Purdue freshman. The Boilermakers were a mess in 2024, but Thieneman put together another 100 tackle season. Now, he is a part of a talented Oregon Ducks defense, where he will look to become a first round pick.
22 9ebzja2zfeigaziee8y605aqp

Denver Broncos

WR Carnell Tate, Ohio State – 6’3, 195 lbs 7 rec, 118 yards, 2 TD Bo Nix is physically limited and may be more of a game manager, so it will be important to surround him with as much talent as possible. I am a big Carnell Tate fan. The stats may not pop out at you, but he has had to fight for scraps playing opposite target hogs like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jeremiah Smith. Tate is tall, a very good route runner, and has a knack for the end zone, with two touchdown receptions on the season.
23 17683632020

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

EDGE David Bailey, Texas Tech – 6’3, 250 lbs 3 tackles, 1.5 sacks The Buccaneers are still searching for that true pass rushing terror to round out its offense. David Bailey improved every year at Stanford. Despite playing on a terrible team and facing constant double teams, he had some of the better pass rushing grades in the country. Now on a better team, he could explode as a senior.
24 17013982017

Detroit Lions

CB Malik Muhammad, Texas – 6’0, 190 lbs 6 tackles The Lions have a Super Bowl caliber offense, but need to continue to build up the defense. Malik Muhammad is still a work in progress, but has upside as an athletic zone cornerback. The only real question mark is his play making ability. His next career interception will be his first since his freshman season.
25 644616602020

Los Angeles Chargers

OG Cayden Green, Missouri – 6’5, 324 lbs N/A Just as Joe Alt has elevated his play to a Pro Bowl level, the Chargers lost Rashawn Slater for the season. If he comes back healthy in 2026, Los Angeles could have the best tackle duo in the NFL. They should not stop there, however. The 2025 draft showed the value of plug and play interior options, with several guys selected in the first round. Cayden Green, a true run grater at guard, could follow suit in 2026.
26 17227042013

Minnesota Vikings

CB A.J. Harris, Penn State – 6’1, 191 lbs 2 tackles Minnesota chose to ignore the cornerback position during the 2025 draft. Fortunately, the class looks a lot deeper this time around. A.J. Harris had a great first year at Penn State after transferring from Georgia. He is a solid tackler with great size and quickness.
27 683260482022

Washington Commanders

EDGE Cashius Howell, Texas A&M – 6’2, 248 lbs 5 tackles, 3 sacks The Commanders chose to spend their first round pick on an offensive lineman, meaning they will go into 2025 relying on castoffs to generate a consistent pass rush. That area will need to be filled in 2026. Cashius Howell may be a bit undersized, but the fifth year senior is off to a tremendous start in 2025, with three sacks through two games.
28 857

Kansas City Chiefs

WR Makai Lemon, USC – 5’11, 195 lbs 11 rec, 248 yards, 2 TD The Chiefs have struggled to fill Tyreek Hill’s shoes the past few years, cycling through dozens of receivers. Makai Lemon is off to a monster start for the USC trojans, and could separate himself from the rest of the non-Jordyn Tyson receivers in this class. He has averaged over 22 yards per receptions and has found the end zone twice.
29 406

Dallas Cowboys

WR Antonio Williams, Clemson – 5’11, 190 lbs N/A From GB
Things could change, but I have a hard time imagining the Cowboys paying up to keep George Pickens after this season. They will, once again, be on the lookout for a counterpart to CeeDee Lamb. Antonio Williams suffered an injury early on against LSU, and his loss has definitely been felt by Cade Klubnik and others. He is a bit undersized, but is a very good slot receiver and route runner.
30 318

Baltimore Ravens

OT Isaiah World, Oregon – 6’8, 318 lbs N/A Long time left tackle Ronnie Stanley is basically year to year at this point, and Isaiah World could be a nice long term replacement. He made the big jump from Nevada to Oregon, and has been a part of the reason that Dante Moore is off to a good start.
31 n0fd1z6xmhigb0eej3323ebwq

Buffalo Bills

CB DJ McKinney, Colorado – 6’2, 180 lbs 8 tackles, 1 INT The Bills brought back Tre’Davious White, and thrusted him into a starting role. Finding a young cornerback to do what Kaiir Elam could not should be a priority. Travis Hunter was not the only NFL prospect playing in the Colorado secondary in 2024. DJ McKinney has worked his way into that late Day 1, Day 2 range, thanks to his size and ability to pick off passes.
32 960

Philadelphia Eagles

DT Caleb Banks, Florida – 6’6, 325 lbs N/A The Eagles lost Milton Williams to free agency in 2025, and the same may happen with Jalen Carter next off-season. Caleb Banks would keep the talent pipeline strong for Philadelphia’s defense. He is a huge, agile defensive tackle who is still learning the finer points of the game.
