Draft order based on super quick 2020 Off Season rankings. Height/weight based on projected rookie season measurables (aka what I would create in 2K).
Ran a lottery generator, because why not? The top four teams originally slotted. 1. OKC (1). 2. MEM (7). 3. SAC (4). 4. HOU (13).
2021 NBA Mock Draft – 11/21/20 |
||||
Pick # |
Team | Player | Name | Analysis |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | ![]() |
![]() |
PG Cade Cunningham, Fr, Oklahoma State – 6’7, 220 lbs | The early favorite for the top pick in the 2021 Draft, Cade Cunningham has drawn Grant Hill comparisons for his size and advanced feel for the game. He would be the face of the new Oklahoma City Thunder, who own approximately 19,000 first round picks. |
2 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Jalen Green, United States/G-League – 6’5, 190 lbs | Jalen Green is the cream of the crop when it comes to the 2021 G-League class. Simply put; a complete scorer. More than just a dunker or shooter, he plays like a five year NBA veteran with a variety of scoring moves. Has 25 point per game potential. A Ja Morant/Jalen Green backcourt would be unfair. |
3 | ![]() |
![]() |
SF Ziare Williams, Fr, Stanford – 6’8, 210 lbs | The highest recruit in Stanford history, Ziare Williams is an NBA ready wing who excels with the ball in his hands. Like most his age, he needs to improve his shooting and gain some strength, but the Kings gain a very talented player here. |
4 | ![]() |
![]() |
C Evan Mobley, Fr, USC – 7’0, 220 lbs | FROM HOU. Right now, Evan Mobley is a top five pick. However, he is the type of big man, like Skal Labissiere, Harry Giles, and others before him, who could fall if his dominating high school game struggles to translate. In high school, he made his living off of being taller than everyone else, but his jump shot and strength will have to improve if he wants to become a top tier NBA player. The Thunder are off to a very good start with these two picks. |
5 | ![]() |
![]() |
SF Jonathan Kuminga, United States/G-League – 6’8, 220 lbs | The Hornets need to add talent, regardless of position. Jonathan Kuminga has immense offensive talent, and his questionable shot selection should be cleaned up with G-League level coaching. |
6 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG BJ Boston, Fr, Kentucky – 6’7, 190 lbs | Detroit’s questionable off season could take them out of the running for the top overall pick, but they still do not have much in the way of young talent. BJ Boston is a twitchy scorer who could drop 20 a night at the NBA level. |
7 | ![]() |
![]() |
PG Jalen Suggs, Fr, Gonzaga – 6’4, 200 lbs | The Gonzaga program just keeps getting better, and Mark Few landed the school’s top recruit ever in guard Jalen Suggs. Suggs is not a top notch athlete but should be a very good scorer at the NBA level, and has more than enough true point guard skills to play the position full time. The Knicks are still in search of a franchise point guard. |
8 | ![]() |
![]() |
PG Will Richardson, Jr, Oregon – 6’5, 195 lbs | Without Payton Pritchard dominating the ball for Oregon, Will Richardson could quickly become a household name. A fantastic shooter and very solid ball handler, the Ducks are his now, and he should become a lottery pick. The Magic need an entirely new backcourt. |
9 | ![]() |
![]() |
SF Jalen Johnson, Fr, Duke – 6’8, 220 lbs | The best prospect from another solid Duke recruiting class, Jalen Johnson is another tall mismatch who is adept with the ball in his hands. That just seems to be the way players are raised these days. A year under Coach K should iron out some wrinkles, and Johnson should be a top ten pick. With Isaac Okoro and Johnson on board, the Cavaliers actually have some roster balance. |
10 | ![]() |
![]() |
PF Usman Garuba, Spain – 6’8, 230 lbs | FROM MIN. Usman Garuba could be the type of big man who could thrive in Golden State’s uptempo offense. Garuba is not much of a scorer, but he would not need to be for the Warriors. They will appreciate his hustle and ability to do a bit of everything else. |
11 | ![]() |
![]() |
SF Terrence Clark, Fr, Kentucky – 6’7, 210 lbs | Terrence Clark is a lanky, quick slasher with an improving jump shot. Perhaps a year or two away from contributing, he should still become a solid scorer. The Wizards seem to be stuck in neutral, but Clark will really help. |
12 | ![]() |
![]() |
PF Scottie Barnes, Fr, Florida State – 6’9, 230 lbs | Scottie Barnes is the latest great prospect for an underrated Florida State NBA development machine. Another big man who can do a bit of everything, he could wind up a possible top five pick. |
13 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Josh Christopher, Fr, Arizona State – 6’5, 220 lbs | Josh Christopher is one of the top shooters in this class, and has the size and strength to be a plus defender. Would be a nice compliment (or replacement) to Zach LaVine in Chicago. |
14 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Scottie Lewis, So, Florida – 6’5, 199 lbs | Scottie Lewis started slow but towards the end of the year showed why he was a top ten recruit. Athletic, hard working and a willing defender, he would be a great addition to a deep, intriguing core in New Orleans. |
15 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Michael Devoe, Jr, Georgia Tech – 6’5, 197 lbs | Shooting, everyone. It is all about shooting. Michael Devoe is one of the best in the nation. An underrated ball handler and defender, he would fit right in beside Trae Young. |
16 | ![]() |
![]() |
PG Caleb Love, Fr, North Carolina – 6’3, 190 lbs | A similar prospect to 2019-2020 Tar Heel guard Cole Anthony, Love would fit best as a scorer off the bench until he can learn the intricacies of running the point guard position. |
17 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG James Bouknight, So, Connecticut – 6’5, 190 lbs | With the unfortunate Klay Thompson injury woes, Golden State is learning the importance of depth. James Bouknight is your classic microwave scorer, and would make a great backup to the Splash Brothers, if they can bounce back. |
18 | ![]() |
![]() |
SF Greg Brown, Fr, Texas – 6’10, 215 lbs | Right now, Greg Brown is more athlete than basketball player, but he has a unique blend of speed, length and defensive potential. Could be a lottery pick with solid development. |
19 | ![]() |
![]() |
PG Jared Butler, Jr, Baylor – 6’3, 195 lbs | Jared Butler is exactly the type of lead guard you want on your second unit. He is a good scorer and ball handler, and does not make many mistakes. |
20 | ![]() |
![]() |
PF Roko Prkacin, Croatia – 6’9, 230 lbs | Roko Prkacin is a talented point forward who can play below the rim and has a developing jump shot. Could potentially be the long term answer at power forward for Denver. |
21 | ![]() |
![]() |
PF Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, So, Villanova – 6’9, 237 lbs | FROM POR. The small ball era in Houston is over. The team needs size. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is a throwback workman-like power forward who can score and rebound. |
22 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Joel Ayayi, Jr, Gonzaga – 6’5, 190 lbs | Shooting and experience; something every playoff team is looking for. Joel Ayayi put up great percentages and would help the 76ers, who are wisely adding shooting to the roster. |
23 | ![]() |
![]() |
PG Devin Askew, Fr, Kentucky – 6’3, 205 lbs | John Calipari’s latest combo guard, Devin Askew should have a Tyrese Maxey-like impact in Kentucky. A scoring combo guard who could be a good defender and rebounder, he would make a nice backup to Mike Conley in Utah. |
24 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Ayo Dosunmu, Jr, Illinois – 6’5, 205 lbs | Ayo Dosunmu is a polarizing prospect. He’s tough, a great leader and aggressive scorer, but not all that efficient. I would still go after him in the first round and plug him in as a backup guard. |
25 | ![]() |
![]() |
PF Trayce Jackson-Davis, So, Indiana – 6’9, 245 lbs | Trayce Jackson-Davis is the type of prospect who would have been a top ten pick a generation ago. He does not shoot threes, instead opting to get his points from the block. There is still a place for guys like him in today’s NBA, they just are not drafted high. |
26 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Nimari Burnett, Fr, Texas Tech – 6-4, 205 lbs | Nimari Burnett is the latest shooting guard recruit for Texas Tech. He should be a good bench scorer at the NBA level. |
27 | ![]() |
![]() |
PF Amar Sylla, Senegal – 6’9, 210 lbs | Like most prospects out of Africa, Amar Sylla’s defense is way ahead of his offense at this point. These types of prospects do not pan out that often, but he is talented. |
28 | ![]() |
![]() |
C Luka Garza, Sr, Iowa – 6’11, 265 lbs | Luka Garza is the favorite to dominate college basketball and win the Wooden Award this year. He is not a great athlete by NBA standards, but he could develop into a mid-tier NBA starting center. |
29 | ![]() |
![]() |
SG Keyontae Johnson, Jr, Florida – 6’5, 229 lbs | If Keyontae Johnson continues to build upon a great sophomore season, he should be gone well before this. He is quietly one of the ten best upper classmen in the country. |
30 | ![]() |
![]() |
SF Corey Kispert, Sr, Gonzaga – 6’7, 220 lbs | What else needs to be said? This dude can shoot it. One of those guys who will stick around for 15 years making a living on standing in the corner jacking up threes. |
