Welcome to Mock Draft Monday! College basketball officially starts today.

Draft order is based on point differential. Once every team has played at least ten games, it will be “if the draft was today” order.

As always, lottery ran because I love the randomness so much.

1. Charlotte Hornets (7)
PG/SG Stefan Joksimovic, Slovenia
6’7,187 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

Charlotte traded LaMelo ball during the off-season. While Stefan Joksimovic may not be a perfect replacement, he does have lead guard skills. I think the flashy Euro League guard is the one player in this class with true superstar potential. Like fellow countryman Luka Doncic, Joksimovic is a crafty scorer with some point guard skills. He is not a great shooter yet, but has the potential to be a very good offensive player.

2. Oklahoma City Thunder (from LAC) (9)
SF/PF Tyran Stokes, Fr, Kansas
6’7, 230 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

Injuries have decimated this team, and unfortunately, they have to wait until the off-season to turn their draft picks into reinforcements. Tyran Stokes has some immaturity concerns and is not the best shooter, but he has good size, is a versatile scorer and willing defender. He also has real point-forward passing ability. At this very early juncture, he is considered the consensus best prospect in this class.

3. New Orleans Pelicans (14)
SG/SF Caleb Holt, Fr, Arizona
6’5, 215 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

The Pelicans will get the best of their own pick or Milwaukee’s pick in 2027. Caleb Holt could make for a solid long term back court fit with Jeremiah Fears running mate for Jeremiah Fears. Like many young players in this class, Holt has a ways to go as a shooter, but is strong, compact and aggressive offensively. He could also be a plus defender and rebounder.

4. Indiana Pacers (10)
PG/SG Jordan Smith Jr., Fr, Arkansas
6’2, 210 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

The Pacers simply cannot win without Tyrese Haliburton, who is injured again. Jordan Smith Jr. could provide some insurance, and his style should mix with Haliburton quite well. Like the other top prospects, his shooting lacks a bit behind, but he is a tough, aggressive scorer and tenacious defender. With Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas off to the NBA, Smith Jr. should have the keys to the Arkansas offense.

5. Houston Rockets (from BKN) (8)
SG/SF Braylon Mullins, So, Connecticut
6’6, 196 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 12.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.4 apg

The amount of traded picks in this draft is staggering. Couple that with the new lottery reform, and some very good teams could have high draft picks in 2027. Enter the 50 win Houston Rockets. They havea great chance to add two lottery picks, and suppliment some depth. Braylon Mullins could be the top non-freshman or Euro in this class. He was a part time player for UConn during his freshman season, but should step into an alpha role this year. He is a fantastic shooter with good size, and could be a solid defender as well. Shooting is always in demand, and he may be the best at it in this class.

6. Miami Heat (11)
SG/SF Bruce Branch III, Fr, BYU
6’7, 190 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

Miami’s roster is very top heavy, and it could use some secondary scorers, especially along the wing. Bruce Branch III is a solid two-way wing with athletic upside. He may not have the strength and defensive ability of the other top prospects, but he can shoot, drive to the basket, and will not embarrass himself defensively.

7. Memphis Grizzlies (from UTA) (15)
SF/PF Anthony Thompson, Fr, Ohio State
6’9, 210 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

The Grizzlies have the best record in the NBA, and could have up to four first round picks in this draft. The rebuild is off to a tremendous start.Anthony Thompson may be Ohio State’s highest ever basketball recruit. He has ideal size for a swing forward, and is a very good shooter. The rest of his game is coming together, but thanks to his jump shot, strength and length, he has potential.

8. Chicago Bulls (2)
C Motiejus Krivas, Sr, Arizona
7’2, 260 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 10.4 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.1 apg

The rebuilding Chicago Bulls seem to have won with Caleb Wilson, but could desperately use a defensive counterpart in the front court. Motiejus Krivas is not a huge offensive threat, but has great size, and can provide tough defense and rebounding. With the success of players like Zach Edey and Yaxel Lendeborg, teams are finally coming around to the idea of selecting upperclassmen in the top ten.

9. Atlanta Hawks (from MIL) (8)
SF/PF Thomas Haugh, Sr, Florida
6’9, 215 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 17.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 2.1 apg

Atlanta gets the worst of Milwaukee and New Orleans first round pick, so there is a great chance they could have yet another lottery selection in 2027. Thomas Haugh could have been a late lottery pick in 2026, but chose to return to Florida for his senior season. He had little to gain by skipping the NBA, as he may be maxed out as a prospect, but his ability to shoot, rebound and play solid defense, along with his experience, should make him attractive to a playoff hopeful like Atlanta.

10. Houston Rockets (from PHX) (4)
SF/PF Hugo Yimga-Moukouri, France
6’8, 219 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 9.8 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 0.4 apg

After taking a ready made shooter earlier, Houston drafts a defensive minded prospect here. rance sat the 2026 draft out, but is back here, with yet another long, intriguing prospect. Like Noa Essengue and Tidjane Saluan, Hugo Yimga-Moukori is more defense than offense and shooting at this point. He has good size, is strong, and has the ability to be a good combo forward who can score tough buckets and provide solid defense.

11. Sacramento Kings (1)
SG Quentin Coleman, Fr, Illinois
6’4, 180 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

The Kings desperately need a young counterpart for Darius Acuff Jr., but the lottery gods were not kind to them in this mock. The Illini are a team led by a bunch of veteran European born players, but top recruit Quentin Coleman will take over for Keaton Wagler. He is one of the better shooters in this class. It is impossible to predict what freshmen could have big roles at this point, but Coleman has potential. With this backcourt, Sacramento could get killed defensively, but they are still in the talent-collecting phase, and will figure out fit later.

12. Los Angeles Clippers (from OKC) (13)
SG/SF Amari Allen, So, Alabama
6’6, 215 lbs
2025;2026 Stats: 11.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 3.1 apg

I could not find any information on whether this pick will be stripped from the Clippers or not, so they remain here for now. Amari Allen has a nice all around game, and could easily outplay this draft slot with continued development. He should be the leader of what could be a pretty good Alabama team.

13. Orlando Magic (6)
C Luigi Suigo, Fr, Villanova
7’3, 289 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

Wendell Carter Jr. seems to be the weak link in Orlando’s starting lineup. Luigi Suigo generated some late first round looks during the 2026 draft process, but chose to head to Villanova for at least one season. He is huge, but has more of a finesse game offensively. He has legitimate three point range on his jump shot. A huge project, literally and figuratively, but a name to remember.

14. Charlotte Hornets (from DAL) (16)
SG/SF Ivan Kharchenkov, So, Arizona
6’7, 230 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 10.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.3 apg

Charlotte drafts a defensive minded prospect here to compliment its various shooters. The German born Ivan Kharchenkov is one of the better on the ball defenders in this class. He is strong and rugged, and has some shooting ability as well.

15. Oklahoma City Thunder (from DEN) (12)
SG/SF Trey McKenney, So, Michigan
6’4, 220 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 9.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg,0.9 apg

Trey McKenney would be the Ideal Isaiah Joe replacement for the Thunder. McKenney shot 39% from deep as a freshman, and could double his scoring average as a sophomore, as Michigan lost quite a bit of offensive power, both to the NBA and to injury. He could come close to doubling his scoring average.

16. Brooklyn Nets (from NYK) (15)
SF/PF Miikka Muurinen, Fr, Arkansas
7’0, 220 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

With so many mid-to-late first round picks, the Nets can afford to gamble for upside. Looking at Miikaa Muurinen in practices and scrimmages, it would be easy to convince yourself that he is the best prospect in this class. He has failed to consistently produce in games, however. He will try his hand at an American college, joining John Calipari at Arkansas. Muurinen has elite size and skills for a stretch big/wing. He can shoot, and get to the basket. Consistency, effort and defense are all question marks.

17. Washington Wizards
PG/SG Alijah Arenas, So, USC
6’6, 199 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 14.1 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 2.1 apg

Washington is going with the dual-timeline thing, building around both AJ Dybantsa and a couple of big name veterans. Considering all he dealt with, from an injury to a car accident, the fact that Alijah Arenas returned to the court at all in 202-2026 was a huge success. He should continue to improve his scoring percentages, and could flirt with 20 points per game as a sophomore. Arenas probably fits best as a combo scoring guard off of the bench.

18. San Antonio Spurs (from ATL)
PF Cameron Williams, Fr, Duke
7’0, 215 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

The Spurs could continue using its draft picks to add size to its roster. Cameron Williams was Duke’s top recruit, but is not expected to be a big part of the rotation to start the year. He is a bit like a less polished version of Caleb Wilson offensively. He needs to get stronger, but may be the best shot blocker of any incoming top freshman.

19. Golden State Warriors
SG/SF Baba Oladotun, Fr, Maryland
6’10, 205 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

The Warriors drafted a ready made 24 year old Yaxel Lendeborg in 2026, but the best available players here are freshmen, so they go that direction. The Maryland commit, Baba Oladotun, can really stroke it from deep. However, he is thin and weak, and needs to both bulk up and expand his overall game. However, his ability to shoot will get him plenty of late lottery looks, in hopes the rest of his game expands.

20. Brooklyn Nets (from PHI)
C Matas Vokieaitis, So, Texas
7’0, 255 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 15.6 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 0.6 apg

This is the secondof three more first round picks for the Nets. Matas Vokieaitis had a very good freshman season for Texas. He reminds me a bit of Jonas Valanciunas. An offensive minded center who can chip in enough on the boards and defensively to become a low end starter. He could start quickly for a team without many options at center.

21. Utah Jazz (from CLE)
SF/PF Christian Collins, Fr, USC
6’9, 200 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

It is dangerously close to being another lost season in Utah, but at least they have a first round pick in this scenario. Other than the top guys, it is hard to predict what incoming freshman will have an impact and be included in my 2027 draft class. Right now, I am adding players who seem to be in a good position to play solid minutes. Christian Collins should be a solid running mate for Alijah Arenas at USC. He is tall, lanky and has a good jump shot. Like a lot of young guys, he needs to get stronger, but there is starting potential here.

22. Memphis Grizzlies (from LAL)
PG/SG Jason Crowe Jr., Fr, Missouri
6’4, 190 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: N/A

Jason Crowe Jr. is the second highest player Missouri has ever recruited. He is one of the best scorers amongst incoming freshmen. Whether he can show point guard skills to elevate him beyond combo status remains to be seen, but his ability to get buckets should eventually make him an asset off of the bench behind Ty Jerome, with the opportunity to eventually take over as starter.

23. Sacramento Kings (from SAS)
SG/SF Dame Sarr, So, Duke
6’8, 200 lbs
2025;2026 Stats: 6.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.1 apg

With a new small back court in this scenario, Sacramento should target defensive stoppers. Dame Sarr is an intriguing defensive wing prospect, who could explode as a sophomore. It was rough for him offensively, but he does have potential as a scorer. It is his length and ability to be a pesky defender that could get him plenty of first round looks a year from now.

24. Toronto Raptors
SG/SF Dame Sarr, So, Duke
6’8, 200 lbs
2025;2026 Stats: 6.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.1 apg

The Thunder seem to own every pick in this draft excerpt their own. Dame Sarr is an intriguing defensive wing prospect, who could explode as a sophomore. It was rough for him offensively, but he does have potential as a scorer. It is his length and ability to be a pesky defender that could get him plenty of first round looks a year from now.

25. Detroit Pistons
SF/PF Milan Momcilovic, Sr, Kentucky
6’8, 225 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 16.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.0 apg

Detroit needs to continue to surround its stars with shooters. That may be all Milan Momcilovic can do, but he is darn good at it. The Kentucky transfer knocked down almost half of his three point attempts last year, and looks like a Duncan Robinson clone.

26. Boston Celtics
C Malachi Moreno, So, Kentucky
7’0, 250 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 7.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.8 apg

Boston is always on the lookout for cheap size. After a freshman season where he showed promise as a scorer, rebounder and even playmaker, Malachi Moreno went through the pre-draft process, but chose to return to Kentucky for his sophomore year. With an expanded role, he could flirt with a double double, which could make him an easy first round pick.

27. Phoenix Suns (from MIN)
PG/SG Killyan Toure, So, Iowa State
6’6, 240 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 13.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.1 apg

Killyan Toure is one of many European born prospects that are honing their games at American colleges. Like many French prospects, he is a menace defensively, that still needs to work on becoming a more complete offensive player.

28. Portland Trail Blazers
PF/C Rueben Chinyelu, Sr, Florida
6’10, 265 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 10.9 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 1.0 bpg

The Florida Gators may have the best front court in college basketball, and Rueben Chinyelu plays a key role. The tough 265 pounder is one of the best rebounders in the nation, and is a tough defender. The lack of any range on his shot probably limits him to back up center status, but the deep Trail Blazerswill be fine with that.

29. Brooklyn Nets (from HOU)
PG Jeremy Fears Jr., Jr, Michigan State
6’2, 190 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 15.2 ppg, 9.4 apg, 2.4 rpg

Jeremy Fears Jr. may be the best player in college basketball, but his pro prospects are a little murky. Pass first, average shooting point guards are falling out of favor, but there should be a spot for him on an NBA bench. His steady approach would be welcome to any teams second unit.

30. Memphis Grizzlies
PF/C Patrick Ngongba II, Jr., Duke
6’11, 250 lbs
2025-2026 Stats: 10.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 2.0 apg

The surprisingly undefeated Grizzlies round out the first round. Patrick Ngongba II is not exciting, but should be a decent enough starting center for quite a while. He can score with efficiency, rebound his position and will not hurt his team defensively.
